It was a near perfect weekend for Canadian Alex Dumas. He set a blistering pace in the qualifying sessions, well under the lap record. Came race time, he got out front and fended off Michael Barnes. Alex, on his Road Racing World M4 Suzuki SV650, went on to win by 14.331 seconds turning a best lap time and new lightweight twins lap record of 1:36.827.

Michael Barnes’ best lap wasn’t too far behind with a 1:36.879. While Barnes had some pace, he couldn’t stop the youngster from slowly inching away.

Cooper McDonald also put on a very good ride rounding out the podium. He caught and passed Blasius and then had to fend off a hard charging Jason Madama. Madama’s race was stunted with a ride through penalty from a jumped start. Bladius fought McDonald right down to the end.

The not so good… championship points leader Chris Parrish highsided trying to get around Madama, Blasius, and McDonald. Kris Turner crashed on the first lap right after he made a pass to get into 2nd place. Darren James, after a strong effort in qualifying, had something happened that forced him to retire before the race got underway.

With Parrish hitting the deck, the points lead has now changed back over to Michael Barnes. 11 points seperates Barnes and 2nd, Draik Beauchamp. Parrish falls to 4th in points.

Kris Lillegard tried this time… got 10th… again. 🙂
