Coming into the final Twins Cup round weekend we had assumed we’d see Rocco Landers take home his 2nd Twins Cup championship. He held a nice enough lead in points on his Suzuki GSX8-R over Alessandro Di Mario. 19 points was enough that Rocco could bring it home in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th in both races. Di Mario on the Rodio Racing Powered By Robem Engineering Aprilia RS660 was in top form all weekend setting a blistering pace that no one could contain. Rocco was the closest to Di Mario in qualifying .812 behind.

On the 2nd lap of race one, the 19 point gap Rocco Landers was enjoying all came crashing down when Landers lost the front chasing Di Mario. Not long after Rossi Moor on the M4 Suzuki GSX8-R high sided out of turn 1 causing a red flag. This put Rocco back in the fight. After the restart it was Di Mario out front again but Rocco suffered another crash. A very odd highside into the final corner due to a false neutral put Rocco back on the ground. The radiator was punctured leaving the bike KIA trackside.

Di Mario went on to win the race by nearly 7 seconds over Dominic Doyle who was another 6 second sup the road from third place Gus Rodio. The 15-year-old Di Mario took over the points lead by 6 points.

Race 2 was a similar story. Di Mario took the victory by 6.5 seconds over Rossi Moor and Dominic Doyle with Rocco Landers having another DNF due to a mechanical. (Assumption is engine)

Alessandro Di Mario and Rodio Racing / Robem Engineering are your 2024 Moto America Twins Cup champions. This is the 2nd title for Aprilia and Robem Engineering (2021 with Kaleb De Keyrel)

Rodio Racing / Robem Engineering Team with Di Mario.
