MotoAmerica Twins : 2019 – The ???????

I wasn’t sure what to call this or how to categorize it. All these guys (and girl) can go fast and I want to see them go fast enough to push to the sharper end of the field.

Ray Hoffman – Suzuki Sv650 – MotoAmerica Twins – Road America 2018

Ray Hoffman : ASRA Thunderbikes Championships and Ray Hoffman are synonymous with each other. Ray has countless ASRA and CCS wins and championships to his name. The mid wast rider has speed and wisdom, now if he can just get the bike under him. In 2018 he was forced to ride 2 different machines (sv650 and fz07) not owned by himself which did not play out as well as I would have thought. I’ve personally seen Hoffman go the speed needed, fingers crossed for him in 2019 to get his own machine flying fast on the MA grid.

Ned Brown – Moto America Twins – Barber 2018

Ned Brown : At 57 years old many people start to reveal their 99 problems, but lack of speed is not 1 of Ned’s 99 problems. Ed can whip up on the young racers any given weekend, i’ve seen the man do it. Very excited to see him show up at as many rounds as possible and show everyone that age is not the limiting factory to solid finishes at this level.

Darrell Ricks : Honestly, I should have this guy in the wild cards. He came from last at Barber to finish 5th almost setting the lap record in the process on a nearly stock 2017 SV650… stock master with rubber brake lines stock. He also finished 5th at VIR. I’m not sure on his level of participation in 2019, but I hope he shows up. He’s got some speed.

Danielle Diaz – MotoAmerica Twins Cup at Utah 2018 – Photo By: Steven Midgley Photography

Danielle Diaz : The now Dr has been racing for years at both club and national level. She took home 2nd place at Utah and looked very solid doing so on a Kawasaki 650R. I know a career may get in the way of her making the grid, but I hope she gets back out there.

Austin Phillips : I have no clue how fast he will be. All I know is that he will be riding under the Altus Motorsports tent on a Yamaha FZ07.

Austin Miller : The 17 year old motocrosser is new to road racing but is already going fast. The RBoM head honchos tell me he’s going to be a good one. His first race weekend at Daytona went well.
