Hamilton, OH – Robem Engineering, in collaboration with RBoM Racing, will run a two-rider effort in the 2020 MotoAmerica Twin Cup Series enlisting the talent of 2019 Junior Cup racers Jackson Blackmon and Toby Khamsouk. Both riders will contest the series on Robem-developed 3rd-generation Suzuki SV650’s.
18-year-old Jackson Blackmon, from Rockhill, SC, got an early introduction to Twins Cup action at the final two rounds of the 2019 season and instantly proved competitive by nearly winning his inaugural race in New Jersey. Blackmon recently completed another successful test at the WERA GNF held at Barber Motorsports Park and is looking forward to some more off-season testing.
Banning, CA’s Toby Khamsouk, also 18-years old, has been competing in the MotoAmerica Junior Cup class (and it’s predecessor the KTM390 Cup class) for the last 4 years and is excited to move up to the Twins Cup series. Khamsouk’s lanky 6′-1″ stature should be better suited to the larger machinery and his aggressive riding style should prove menacing to his Twins Cup competitors. Toby Khamsouk tested an older model RBoM Racing SV650 at Barber Motorsports Park in September, the day after the final MotoAmerica round, with exceptional results. Both Toby and Jackson expect to challenge for the 2020 MotoAmerica Twins Cup championship.
Robem Engineering has been busy developing a variety of custom-machined parts for Twins Cup competitors and will continue to refine their offerings throughout the 2020 season. Development on the new-generation Suzuki SV650 has been a high-priority for Robem Engineering with help from companies such as Millennium Technologies, ARacer USA, and Yoshimura R&D. Blud Lubricants racing oil will keep the engines running strong in 2020 as additional sponsorship is sought to support Robem Engineering’s mission to showcase some of North America’s young roadracing talent.
