The previous record of a 1:31.813 was set by Kaleb De Keyrel in 2019.
Rocco wasn’t the first rider to best the previous record. Until the race, Cooper McDonald had the new lap record in qualifying with a 1:31.323. Rocco, Kaleb and Dominic Doyle were all under the lap record in qualifying. Come race time, all four riders would again be under the lap record.
(2nd place) Dominic Doyle – 1:31.057 – Suzuki SV650
(3rd place) Kaleb De Keyrel -1:31.146 – Yamaha MT07
(4th place) Cooper McDonald – 1:30.958 – Yamaha MT07
It would be race winner Rocco Landers (Suzuki SV650) with a 1:30.873 that cemented his name as the twins lap record holder at Laguna Seca.
