When it’s lap record season, lap records will fall. Anthony Mazziotto wanted his name on the books for this one too. Due to extremely hot temperatures north of 100-degree ins 2021, the previous lap record was still in place from 2020 set by Rocco Landers (1:47.535). It was a tight battle between him, Jody Barry, and Kaleb De Keyrel for that top spot in the time battle. Going into Q2, Hayden Schultz had the top time with a 1:47.076. During the 2nd qualifying session while Hayden was working on his Yamaha R7’s race pace set up, three Aprilia riders battled it out for the front row.

Mazziotto, Barry, and De Keyrel would each have a shot holding the number 1 spot, but it would be the Rodio Racing rider taking the top spot at the end. Anthony Mazziotto would throw down a 1:46.152 which pushed Jody Barry out of the top spot by .052. Jody’s time of 1:46.204 would secure him in 2nd while Kaleb would settle for 3rd at a 1:46.553. Kaleb De Keyrel would set the fastest race lap time of a 1:46.487.

Mazziotto would go on to be the double race winner.
