As the flag dropped it was a three way battle up front between Kris Turner (419), Tyler Humphreys (TripleStrong), and Bradley Champion (TWF). The trio traded positions a few times but the duo of Turner and Humphreys broke away from Champion who had to back off the pace due to a tire gamble made by TWF. With the iffy track conditions at the start of the race, TWF decided to use Pirelli Diablo Rosso street tires. Champion who managed to dip into the 1:32 range (while battling with Humphreys and Turner) shows how impressive the grip is on these street tires. But the gamble did not pay off as the track completely dried off and never saw another drop of rain. Kris Turner(419) took over the lead but it wasn’t long after that he was forced to save a crash which sent the MA Twins rider off the track and down in the grass handing the lead back over to Humphreys. Turner would pick up the 419 SV and limp it back to the pits. The shade tree 419 guys somehow managed to fix the machine and get back out in the race with a “top 10” level rider in JJJerry Reeves. After the one hour mark and pit stops started to happen TWF would take over the lead until the 1 hour 40min mark when their first pit stop was made sending Zoran Vujasinovic out. TripleStrong’s George Demetropolis took over the 1st place position and RBoM128’s Draik “The Traitor” Beauchamp moving up into the 2nd position. A redflag due to oil on the track brought the gird back to the pits… it also brought Chief’s Racing AND 419’s SV650 back bruised and battered. David Stauffer (CRT) and Jerry Reeves(419) both went down on the oil left by a heavyweight machine. Both teams fixed their machines and finished the race. Brian Mullins went back out for CRT limping the bent up SV until the checker flag as they needed the points. The race would come to an end with TripleStrong just edging out RBoM128. 2 laps behind would be TWF Racing in 3rd. Side Note: RBoM (Russell Masecar/Michael Copoulos) supplied TripleStrong with the dry break fuel tank and dump can… definition of shooting yourself in the foot but shows what kind of good people are over at RBoM.

The series moves to it’s final round at Barber Motorsports Park on October 25th. RBoM128 took over the points lead from Cheif’s Racing Team by a very narrow margin.
